Samsung s8/s8+ notification issues

I got the fitbit blaze 2 days ago and the only issue I have is the notification sync. I can't seem to get any notifications/emails. Help!

I'm sorry you're having problems with your notifications not working on your Blaze 😕

 

There are some things you can try to get them.

 

-First, make sure that the notifications are enabled on your tracker. For this, from the clock face, swipe down from the top of the display and you'll see the option for Notifications. Make sure it's set to ON. 

-Make sure you're within a range of 30 ft. from your phone in order to receive the notifications.

-If you have other bluetooth devices as speakers paired to your phone, you might have problems getting the notifications.

-Try turning the bluetooth on your phone off and back on and also on your Blaze, turn off and back on the option for notifications.

 

If none of these work, you can try to go to your phone's settings, then go to Bluetooth and here, look for your Blaze, then look for the "Forge this device" option and then go to the Fitbit app, tap on the tracker icon at the top of the dashboard and enable the notifications again and see if this makes any difference.

I have a Samsung 7 and this is EXACTLY what's happening with mine. But only within the past updates.. prior to this it was great. It's pissing me off and I keep doing this over and over and it still won't sync for more than a few minutes!!

I also have this issue.  I have repeatedly unpaired and paired and will receive email and text notifications but after an hour or so it stops notifying me, although it shows the notifications are on.  Frustrating to say the least.  I thought it was user error since I've only had the thing for 24 hours but it appears it's not only me

I was on with help for a long time. The end result is that the company is working on it. I will be returning the Blaze as I have already purchased a Samsung Gearfit Sport. Love it. Stress free set up. They lost me when they say it is compatible, but not all functions work. Bummed.

Fitbit is sending me a new blaze at no charge since I'm within my 1 year
warranty however I'm not confident it's going to "fix" the issue.. you may
want to return it

I voice recorded the conversation because I am not sure if Kohl’s will have problems with the return. I just received it yesterday and blew about 4 hours trying to set it up. Best wishes to you!

I have had my Blaze for 3months and NEVER received a notification on it. I have read throigh countless blog posts and tried every option listed,connections,restarting,settings,re pairing you name it!i have had it looked at by a computer programmer who also couldnt fix it!!

I am very disappoined and wish i just got a garmin instead!

 

Fitbit techs....fix this issue with your apps already,its a samsung 8 phone!,every other person has one,they are not rare,or new even...surely in this day and age such a problem can be resolved.

As for notifications I know 5 with S8 phones, none of them have problems. 

It has been reported and confirmed by. Samsung that some S8's have a problem with these and Samsung needs to write a fix. I cant say what phones are affected. 

 

Do you see notifications on your lock screen of the phone? 

For. Your Blaze show a. Connected to the phones Bluetooth?

I receive notifications on my lock screen yes. My blaze is conmected but doesnt sync or show a notification...ever
