Best AnswerThe Blaze having Garella Glass 3, the same,as the Surge, and having the Surge for a year with no scratches on the screen. Im not sure if this would be something to worry about. With the force needed to break the screen, a protector isn't going to stop it from breaking and it doesn't scratch eaaily.
Looking at side by side pics the screen is wider.

Like @Rich_Laue said no need for a screen protector. All they really do is kill the color IMO and make screens less bright when there really is no need for them.
The screen size is different though so the Surge ones won't work on the Blaze.
I have Surge for about 1 year and I wear everything carefully. But I did find a small scratch on the glass which cannot be removed.
Not sure if Blaze has the same glass material or stronger. Hope so...I just got my Blaze and a bit worried.
Best AnswerI put a glass screen protector on my Blaze and it saved my watch. The screen protector actually cracked and there was no damage to the watch.
