At this time I believe that is not an option. You can always request that as a future feature.
Here is where you can request that Feature Request
Hope that helps!

It is not possible, there is currently way to show the seconds on the Blaze.

I was told by a Fitbit employee that there was a second had on the watch before I bought it.

Um.......get that person's name becuase it does and never has had this. DId you buy it from Fitbit online, you must have if a Fitbit person told you.
I would be upset if an employee told me something incorrectly, absolutely, but that does not mean that Fitbit should add it because they told you it was there. As peeved as I would be in your situation, I would probably return it and not buy a product again.

Best AnswerRacertempo, Because it's apparently a deal-breaker.. as it probably is for me as well.
Where to the user say it's the "only thing important to you"? Just wondering if I missed it.
If seconds were the "only thing important".. then, that's a stopwatch. Not any other watch..
and yeah, the Blaze has a stopwatch feature, but for some of us, we don't need the delay
and hassle of several button pushes just to get a seconds feature up on the screen.
They market this Blaze watch as something you can wear all the time, like when working.
Well, I work as a physician, and I need a second hand. It can be a digital sweep arm, or a digital seconds counter, but I need it to be on easily, and stay on for at least 10-15 seconds, or better.. indefinitely. (eg. as a clock face option)
One of the very first fitbits had seconds number counter as one of the options, and I've been "Suggesting" it here for every version of the FitBit since that time. I guess there aren't enough people who want this to make it worth FitBits time (no pun intended) to add in this functionality.. which to me, sounds like it would be a fairly easy software update.
Anyways, that's what it is. Some of us need second hand functionality. That's probably why they (we) asked the question in the first place.
I don't recall the name.. but the OG fitbit watch.. the one that ended up being recalled for the nickel hardware causing skin reactions?.. that one had a clock face option that showed the seconds.
But, that watch no longer exists. I sent it back for the recall, eventhough I personally didn't have any skin rash problems. I then realized that none of the newer ones had the second hand. I ended up buying a used, almost new, one on eBay for about 150% of the original price, and that worked for me for awhile.. but eventually died or went missing or lost the cord or something..
So, the search continues.. The fitbit line seems to check off almost everything I want, except the seconds.. which I need for my work (almost daily).
Good luck suggesting this update.. Doubtful any help will be coming from FitBit, at this point. 😞
Best AnswerIt was called a Force, @FishNinjaY, and used the same firmware as its replacement the Charge uses. It had a strickly digital display, and did not show a second hand. Plus the display did not stay on long enough to take a heaet rate.
Best AnswerYes.. the Force.
Hmm.. I seem to recall definitely seeing a digital seconds (not sweep arm), but yes, it never stayed on quite long enough to do a correct HR.
I do HRs fairly frequently, but after so many years, I'm pretty good at estimating, and that good enough for most of my needs. But, it'd be nice to have. Still not decided if it's a deal-breaker or not for me.
BTW.. Costco is having the Blaze on sale for $50 OFF .. sometime soon, like mid-February.
