I don't think there is a way to set the stride length for hiking on the Blaze. I wish there could be. Maybe that is a posssible change for a future update. I do a lot of Hiking in the mountains far away from cell phone coverage. The walk feature dosent work well because the stride length vary so much from regular walking. My need is to have some sort of idea how far I am away from the next waypoint..at least within a tenth or so. But I have been as much as two miles or so off due to the variance of the stride length. If we could set the stride legth for hiking...I'm sure I could calibrate it after a couple of hikes to come up with a close average stride by simply dividiving distance by steps I would bet after a couple of hikes...I could have it pretty much dead on. In fact I could go back and look at the data I already have and get it pretty close. Is there a possibility that the Blaze could ever be updated to accomplish this.

Hi, @MitchMan, that's an excellent suggestion. You might want to add the idea to the feature request forum where people can vote for, and comment on, your suggestion. The more votes, the more likely it is to be implemented.
Tip: always start with a search to make sure your idea hasn't already been suggested.
