Setting up blaze notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Having had a look at the guidance and the forum I feel like I must be being stupid but cannot work out how to get noticications towork on my new blaze. I have paired the watch with my phone (samsung S5 - should be compatible and is up to date etc) and it syncs fine. I have gone into the phone settings and turned on call notification and messaging/calendar notifications. On my blaze there is no option for notifications in the settings menu (as the guide suggested) but if I swipe down on the watch screen it says notifications on/off and this says on. So all this seems to be set up correctly but when I get a mesage or a call nothing happens on the watch. What am I missing?

Try swiping up or holding in the bottom right button to see the notifications

If I swipe up it just says that I have no notifications "all caught up" despite the fact I have recieved several calls and messages with the phone and blaze right next to each other to try and make it connect. Nothing when I get a call or message and nothing in the notifications after.

I would go through the pairing process again EeVee, "forget this device" on your mobile, shut off bluetooth, turn it back on so it searches then select your blaze for the 4 digit prompt.

If notifications are still not working, make sure "bluetooth sharing" and "allow notifications" are both turned on in the fitbit app under your mobile's system settings.

Keep us in the loop.

Disconnected and uninstalled/reinstalled the fitbit app, checked that I have message notifications and pop up turned on and same with calls but not doing anything.

All that is left to do then is to power off your mobile and power it back on again to see if that clears the glitch (you can try with your blaze as well, swipe to settings, tap face and select off, then hold the left button to turn back on after it's off)  Then, you have done what you can, so click here - looks like chat is open, share what you have done and they should be able to fix you right up!  Be sure to let them know the model of your mobile as well.

Thanks for all the input. It has now started working - wierdly not after I had changed anything but when I was about to give up and see if I could return it. No answer as to why it went wrong but seem to be fixed.

Hello @SunsetRunner, @MrDParsons and @wmchapman! It's great to have you here 🙂 @SunsetRunner I'm glad to hear you where able to receive the notifications on your Blaze. If you ever experience this issue again, make sure your tracker is within 20 feet of your mobile device. If your tracker and mobile device are too far away from one another, you won't receive notifications or they may be delayed.

Happy stepping! 🙂
