Shutdown Breaks Time

Hello everyone,

Can someone please help me. I had no issues till lately, everytime I go into the shower I Shutdown my FitBit Blaze, and half an hour later when im ready to put it back on, and switch it back on, the time remains the same as the time that i switched it off. Basically the time stops and starts again from where it left off, rather than keep running even though it is switched off.

Never used to have any issues till a few days ago. However, when i sync it with my phone the Blaze comes back to reality and time goes back to normal.

Any ideas if i have messed around with the setting or something!?

There was a recent firmware update for the Blaze and the release notes include this comment:

  • If you shut down your tracker either unintentionally through battery drain or intentionally to turn it off, the time will be incorrect when you turn it back on. Sync your tracker to fix the time.

Your fitbit should keep time between sync ok as long as you don't shut it down. I never bother to shut mine down even overnight (I do not monitor my sleep).

Why do you shut it down just for 30 minutes shower? It doesn't save so much battery because the HR is off a few seconds after putting it on the table.
