So I may have found a solution from another post:

Jerrido: "

1a. My steps and vitals were syncing/synced properly.  1b. I removed the device from within the app.

2. I deleted anything and everything blaze-related in my bluetooth settings.

3. On the blaze, I set the bluetooth classic setting to pair.

4. I paired the device with a 6-digit code.

5. I added the blaze device back into the app.

6. I entered the 4-digit code on the blaze into the app.

7. Verified both blaze and blaze (classic) show up in my android bluetooth settings.
"

The one thing I didn't do was remove the device from the app itself. What's weird is redownloading the app didn't do this, but that seems to have solved the problem.

I'll keep an eye on it to see if this isn't just a temporary solution.

I have exactly the same problem with the silent alarm and will appreciate any help before I return the device to store. I have:

2.42 app version

17.8.301.8 blaze version

Android 7.1.1 (Nexus 5x)

I tried restart/reinstall multiple times without luck. The silent alarm just never sync. It just hangs there and the status on the phone is always: waiting to be sync.

Honestly, I don't know what's the design theory to require alarm clock to be set using a remote device. At least it has to work.

Floors was synced wrongly too. It shows 8 on my watch but 16 on the app. Subsequent sync updates other data but not this one.

I started wearing this yesterday and I had to restart both phone and Track 4 times in order to get the sync to work again as it would stop syncing without a reason after a while. I think it will help to give more information why it failed rather than showing a pink exclaimation mark. I haven't been using a lot of the "great" features of the watch yet. But if a simple thing like an alarm clock is not working, I can't help worrying about the overall quality of this product.

@jimmc3rd how long ago does the app say that you synced?

You say that you unpaired the tracker,  this is done through the phones Bluetooth settings screen.  Is that what you did? As for pairing, this needs to be done by the app, not you.

Or did you simply tell Fitbit that tou dont want to use the tracker anymore, this however will not unoair tue tracker..

I am still having the same problem since Friday.  My blaze will sync and update some stats like steps but it is still saying there is a sync error and I cannot get it to sync and add/change silent alarms.  I have never had any issues syncing my blaze to my phone.  I have tried all the steps like unpairing it in the app and repairing it.

I have unpaired using Bluetooth menu on my phone. It's usually listed as Blaze (classic) in the bt menu.

The time is about 8 minutes behind on the tracker, and when it seems to pair in the app, it will say a moment ago, of however many minutes ago it appeared to sync. The alarms do not update, and have the orange button waiting for sync.

I took my watch off last night and it appears to have stopped at that time.
