Silent alarm will not sync

I appreciate this may have cropped up before but I cannot get my Blaze to sync with my Silent Alarms.

All I get is "Waiting to sync" even though everything else is up to date & sync'd??

Tried the usual off/on , shutting down the unit, etc and updating app etc but no joy.

Version # is 17.8.310.8.

Any ideas???

I'm having the exact same issue.  I've tried everything as well.  Restarted both my phone and my Blaze, updated the app, unpaired and then repaired... nothing.  Everything else syncs fine, it's just the silent alarms that doesn't want to cooperate.

Same issue here with a Samsung galaxy s7 edge.

Same thing here

2.42 app version

17.8.301.8 blaze version

Reset phone and tracker

Deleted and reinstalled app

Unpaired and paired again

Time doesn't update and silent alarm won't update

App will appear to sync, but tracker won't reflect this

Chiming in, since I noticed this also when trying to change to clock face.  My blaze exhibits the same behavior described.  Looks like this is at the top of the forums.  I am sure Fitbit is working on it!

The time is now incorrect , lagging by 6-7 mins

Looks like I'm not the only sucker that fitbit refuse to help...

Particularly poor performance on what should be an 100% operational device, when you listen to the fitbit marketing, the last thing you expect is extremely poor syncing.

Time to try a competitor I think

Having same issue - now there are several threads active of Android users with silent alarm setting not working (as well as other sync issues such as clock face).   This needs to be escalated.  Appears to be a result of last Android app update (2.42) and not watch firmware itself.  HOW CAN WE ESCALATE THIS????

At a minimum they should push the previous app version out until they can fix this - never had this issue before a week ago.

These steps solved all my problems thus far with the blaze, including this one.  Hope it helps:

1a. My steps and vitals were syncing/synced properly.  1b. I removed the device from within the app.

2. I deleted anything and everything blaze-related in my bluetooth settings.

3. On the blaze, I set the bluetooth classic setting to pair.

4. I paired the device with a 6-digit code.

5. I added the blaze device back into the app.

6. I entered the 4-digit code on the blaze into the app.

7. Verified both blaze and blaze (classic) show up in my android bluetooth settings.

8. All is good!

I am having the same issue. I have a Samsung note 5. Just got my fitbit blaze as a birthday present today. I am guessing this is not how it normally acts, but I kind of want my money back. It's kind of frusterating...

(in response to jerrido)

This appears to have solved the problem.

The only step I didn't take was to remove it from the app.

That seems odd since I removed the app altogether from my phone, but I guess that's what was needed.

I'll keep an eye on it to see if this isn't just a temporary fix.

Thanks!

What a coincidence that the day after I posted my message, I woke up to find everything in working order.  The Blaze gods were watching!  So far everything is working beautifully.

Well, today (10mins ago) I tried syncing again after reading all of your messages folks ...and I've done nothing I didn't do yesterday ...but it all now syncs & silent alarms are back...

I'll be keeping a close on it so far so good.

Maybe we banged enough drums to get something done??? Or is the sceptic in me thinking coincidence..lol.

Happy fitbitting...

Well let's be positive! No more issues! 😄

Same!  The FitBit gods have flipped whatever bits were out of place in the universe and now the sync functions on Android are back up and running - somehow achieved with no app software or Blaze firmware updates.  Amazing!

Anyway I'm happy to be up and running again - now if I can just remember to set the silent alarm to AM instead of PM like this morning 🙂
