Sleep Recording - Blaze

Hi. I've found a few threads but none with a solution as to why my Blaze doesn't record sleep tracking correctly.  It knows when I'm asleep but the tracker does not report deep/light/REM sleep patterns.  The chart is showing 'No Stages' for the whole nights sleep.  I've seen many other threads along the same lines as this but no fix.  Please don't add to the thread saying you've got the same problem, that's all that seems to happen on these threads is more folks say they've got the same rather than reply with a solution, I need the fix please Fitbit team as this is half the reason why I bought the device in the first place.  I've tried the usual stuff, switching on/off, restarting app, restarting Blaze, manually syncing/auto syncing....blah blah.... but no change.  Thanks

According to fitbit:

WHY DON'T I SEE SLEEP STAGES TODAY?

There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.
