Fitbit Update: 02/16/18
Hi, everyone! There was a temporary outage for Sleep Stages yesterday (2/15) that has since been resolved. Now that our team has confirmed this outage was fixed, I'm going to close this thread to prevent duplicate topics.
Moving forward, if you have trouble receiving your Sleep Stages, please check out my previous post here. You can also reference our help article for more information.
Thanks for hanging tight during this small outage. We really appreciate everyone's patience throughout this process. As always, if anything unusual or new comes up with the Fitbit experience, please post a new topic. Thanks, everyone!
Fitbit Update 02/15/18: Hi everyone -- We experienced an outage, which has since been mitigated, that may have affected users from 9pm PST (February 14th) to 6:30 AM PST (February 15th) which may have caused the following for these features:
These issues have since been mitigated and shouldn't be recurring. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Thanks for your patience and reports.
2nd time posting regarding this problem. Still no real solution. Sleep stages stopped working weeks ago. Had a an app update a few days ago still no sleep stages.
I have tried all the troubleshooting steps I could find. Still no luck. I saw someone reply to another post of the same problem saying to manually track sleep. That can't be the solution.

You're right, manually logging via the app is not the solution. Fitbit say:
"There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

@SteveH the issue has nothing to do with my sleeping routine or how the watch is on my wrist. I haven't changed anything in regards to my routine or habits throughout the day. My battery gets charged before it's at the critically low point.
This is the exact response everyone is getting when no one has changed any settings or their habits. The feature just stopped functioning by no way of my actions.
As I have mentioned in my initial post yesterday, I have tried all the troubleshooting steps available. These blanket responses/solutions do not help.

Never lost the sleep stages since since I've had my Blaze. Only when I've had to manually log sleep I'd lose it (which was annoying in itself). Night before last it decided i had stopped sleeping in the middle of the night, so I extended it manually and lost the data as usual.
However, last night for the first time - it only recorded basic sleep data. Watch secure, plenty of battery, registered heart rate etc, so no excuses I'm afraid Fitbit.
Same with me and my hubby but he has a charge 2 with android phone and I have Alta hr with iPhone! Both had simplified sleep report this morning for the first time.
Definitely not normal for me - it's been the first time since I upgraded from the original Charge HR late Sept 2017. Now Blaze and Android and both up to date.
Best AnswerConnor F,
Others may not have posted on your forum, but this problem is appearing in not just Blaze, and people are asking.
FB is giving a "route" answer at this time (still). Same answer they gave last year when they broke something, rather than to admit they are aware of the issue and are working on it... (OR not, as the case may be).
Just putting this post in here, to let you know that there are others saying the same thing on other product threads.
Best AnswerI have a Blaze and hubby has Charge 2. Initially, a year or so back neither showed sleep stages. Lots of ridiculous suggestions from Fitbit. Finally discovered that it wasn't working because we were using the app to start sleep. Stopped doing that and all fine until last night.
Once again we both reverted to old style system.
My battery was low but hubby's was fully charged so clearly that isn't the issue.
Interesting to see that others are having the same problem.
We will have to see what happens tonight.
Best AnswerThis is a recurrent problem I have experienced with FB. It has nothing to do with your FB.They will fix it. I’ve had it go a couple of days.
Best AnswerSame here! I hope that they figure out what is going on and fix it. It sounds like it must be a widespread issue.
Same thing happened to me as well.
I also have the weight section of the app telling me my goal weight was reached (it wasn't) and got an email about being awarded the 90 lbs lost badge this morning.
