Hi there @Jamez. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems with Sleep Stages not showing up on your dashboard consistently 😕

I would like to know if instead of seeing Sleep Stages you're seeing the simple Sleep Pattern or if you're not seeing any sleep record at all...

If you're seeing Sleep Patterns instead of the Sleep Stages, there are a few scenarios where you might see this (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed).
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

Keep this in mind to ensure that your tracker will perform optimally during the night and anything else you may need, I'm here to help!

I wear it the same way and pretty much sleep in the same position nightly. Some days I get just sleep patterns and some days sleep analysis. It’s very inconsistent for the cost & effort of ownership.

My fitbit blaze no longer tracks my heart rate or sleep patterns. What can I do?

Huh, I see @Jamez, Have you tried to restart your Blaze and see if this makes a difference? If not, You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

@Hestermaniac,  great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂 I can also recommend restarting your Blaze in your situation and see if this helps. See the instructions above and let me know now it goes!

I didn’t change anything.

It seems to be working fairly consistently now. So that’s good!

Been there, done all these, and still getting simplified sleep reports ( with the exception of two nights ago, when  got first report since one in Aug and one in Sept) . Definitely not the wearer...this app has some serious malfunction that needs fixing. 😞
