Sleep tracker hasn't worked for months

My sleep tracker on my Blaze hasn't worked for months. I contacted Fitbit and after resetting, uninstalling the app and going through all the steps, I finally requested a new one. New Fitbit came in and since mid October the sleep tracker has worked 6 times. I have not changed anything in my settings. I have tried tightening the band, loosening the band, sleeping with it turned upside down on my wrist, sleeping with it on the other arm and nothing seems to work. Each morning it tells me that it couldn't get a constant or good heart rate, however, it has no problem tracking my heart rate during the day. This is beyond frustrsting!

Hey there @Padgettk, welcome to the Forums!

If the sleep stages feature is not working, I recommend taking a look at this post, where you will be able to see some requirements that this feature needs in order to work properly. Also, can you please tell me which phone you have?

I hope this works, let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

Thank you for the feedback. I have an Android phone. I understand about the
naps and sleeping longer than 3 hours, the position of the heart monitor
and the low battery.

My issues started Sept. 19th. I have had my Fitbit Blaze since June and it
worked perfectly up until then. I contacted customer service after a week
of not recording the sleep stages. I dealt with them for almost a month and
did all the things they asked me to do...logged out, deleted the app,
turned Bluetooth off and on, turned Bluetooth back on, reinstalled the app,
logged back in and reset everything. I gave it a night or two to see if it
would correct the problem and it didn't. I updated the app and waited
another night to see if that would help. After almost 4 weeks, I asked for
a replacement. The replacement came in in Oct. and the sleep stages have
worked about 6 times since I got it, just random days nothing consistent. I
sleep on average about 6 hours a night and only up about once. So, I know
the 3 hour deal doesn't affect that.

Since the new one wasn't working either, I assumed it was me. I have tried
tightening the band, moving it up higher on my wrist, flipping it to read
the underside of my wrist, sleeping with it on the dominate hand and
nothing helps. Last night, I read on this forum that I could try a hard
reset by holding down the left button and right, lower button at the same
time until the fitbit emblem appeared. After the reset, the change the
heart rate to ON instead of AUTO. I could not get the Blaze to do the hard
reset but I did change the heart rate to ON. I had high hopes that would
work but woke up the morning to the same non-detailed sleep monitoring
system. I am completely at a loss and frustrated because I loved monitoring
my sleep stages. Also, the heart rate works throughout the day, all day
long and is working when I go to bed. I just don't understand it. Any help
would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
