I'm new to the Fitbit community and am a bit obsessed with my Blaze.  I've been walking around 2- 2 1/2 hours per day (two 1+ hour walks a day-am and pm) I some times turn on the exercise option on the Fitbit app because I like to check my pace and I like the map it generates.  Lately people have been saying that if I turn on the exercise on the Fitbit app and I wear my Fitbit then my steps will be doubled.  I don't see this happening but for my own peace of mind I thought I'd ask the community.

I walked  for 1:15:37, 3.66 miles at a pace of 20'39 and it recorded my steps as 8,594.  Does this sound about right?

Thanks in advance!

Lindy

It seems about right. If I'm walking at 3mph I get about 6-7k steps per hour.

Turning on exercise mode will let you see your data during this period on greater detail.
