Others are having the same problem. All accelerometers are not created equal. Some are getting more steps and some, like you, are getting less.
I wore my CHarge HR and my Blaze on my usual walk and the Blaze reported way less steps, about 20% less.

When my wife walks on the treadmill and holding the side bars, it doesn't count her steps. Same issue if she is shopping and pushing the cart around. She wen't on a 3 hour hike to learn about wild plants, they walked about 5 miles slowly she registered 300 steps. Blaze seems to only work if your steps are at a normal walking speed. Is there a way to increase sensitivity?
