We are after purchasing 5 Fitbit however when we walk the same distance our step count is a few thousand different, we have all measured our stride length but don't know how to make them more accurate? 🙂 thank you

My blaze also tracks many... up to 7,000 steps different than my other friends who stay relatively close to each other..ie...a 10.1 mile hike yesterday and I was almost 7000 steps behind them. 😢 can you suggest why such a difference

A warm welcome to the Community @RachaelQ and @Norms627.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourselves. Keep in mind that Fitbit trackers calculate your information based on your age, gender, height and weight. For more information you can take a look at the How accurate are Fitbit devices? article.

Keep in mind that you won't see the same information with other people, but you can test yours by restarting them, walk 100 steps and let me know how many steps your Blaze recorded.

Hope to hear from you soon. Robot Happy
