Step goal notification during challenges

I am currently having the issue of when in a challenge, others get the message about meeting their step goal (such as: ".....that step goal was toast" or ".....step goal was no match"), but I am not. It never reports that I met my step goal. I have checked notifications is turned on and my step goal is set. Any ideas as to why it doesn't give me the "atta girl" but will everyone else.

Hi there @wxchick. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

If I'm not wrong, this message will not show for yourself but it will show for the other participants in the challenge. At least in my case, I've not seen the message of me reaching my goal even though I have.

Have you asked any of the participants by any chance if they're able to see the message saying that you've reached your goal after reaching it? That's something you could do just to confirm that it shows to others but not to yourself. I'll try to keep an eye on my challenges as well to pay more attention and see how it works exactly.

Anything else you may need, let me know. I'll be happy to help you out!

Hi there Ferdinand, thanks for answering my question. I have asked and no the message about me reaching my goal does not show to other participants. I did log out of the app and log back in and it showed that day but not the next one. So now I am really confused.

Huh, that's weird then @wxchick.

I can probably recommend then uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app. Once you reinstall it, log back in to it and see how it goes from there.

Thanks for getting back and let me know how it goes! 🙂

Hello Ferdinand,

Just installed the latest update and I am currently not in any challenges but will reinstall and wait to see what happens.

Hey FerdinandFitbit, why wouldn't you get to see that you hit your step goal along with everyone else during the challenge. They might want to look at making sure that it shows for each individual regardless.

Just an after thought I had after answering you.

Thanks for getting back @wxchick! 🙂

That's a good question and to be honest, I don't have an answer for that... I'd say because you get yourself the notification when you reach your goal, this doesn't happen but that's just my thoughts.

Were you able to try it out in a challenge though?

I did and for a few times it was hit and miss. But now it seems to be working fine (showing when you hit your step goal). So until something changes it seems to be working for the time being.

I’ve seen my own step goal notification in challenges a million times with my Ace, my Zip, my Charge 2, and my Versa. Sadly, my Versa is hit or miss. Half the time it doesn’t show when I meet my step goal in a challenge. Sometimes it does. It’s really frustrating. It happened with my Charge 2 as well.
