I have a blaze and my wife has a charge 2 we spent all day on vacation walking together and then I walked for 30 min while she napped the active time was correct but her tracker showed almost 5,000 more steps 3 more flores and 3.5 more miles . Why is this ? Does one of us have a defective tracker ?

A warm welcome to the Community @Jasonlb. It's possible to get different readings if the trackers are worn in different locations (dominant vs non-dominant wrist), also keep in mind that you two have different settings and the trackers will calculate your information depending on your height, weight, gender and age. 

If you think that your tracker is not being accurate, I recommend walking 100 steps and see how many steps you get.
