Rather annoying that steps are counted (6000 on todays ride) when the Blaze is set to bike mode. How can I be walking if I'm riding? We know that it is possible for activities to overwrite steps by using the driving activity (as I had to do for the duration of my ride) so why not make this process automatic?
I also had my account linked with Strava and ended up with a double calorie count for my ride. In the end I wiped out both activities and re synchronised everything using MyFitnessPal which is what I have been doing (lesson learnt, if it ain't broke don't fix it) and all was well. In short today was my first and last ride with my Blaze, too much faffing about needed.
Another weird one I spotted- if your Blaze is in the charger when the alarm is set to go off, why does it still go off? Surely it knows it is being charged so what is the point in still vibrating away in the cradle?
A negative post so I just want to top it off by saying that for daily activity tracking, sleep tracking and as a watch with notifications the Blaze is really hitting the spot.
Best AnswerI agree, it is the rough country roads that have caused it but it just seems silly that the Fitbit software records me as cycling and walking a considerable distance at the same time.
As for those that want their fitbit to count steps for every activity whether it is step based or not... I guess that is the problem with incentivising and gamifying a fitness tracker.
