Does the Fitbit eventually get used to the person wearing it? Does it need to learn how many steps the user would normally take. I am finding it hard to believe how many steps the watch thinks I am making. I stayed at home all day yesterday and only went to the shops once (about 150m down the road) and the watch said I done 3000+ steps. Unless the watch thinks I am a pidgeon then I can't believe it for a second.

Hi there @Penny85! Great to have you in the Community!
Based on your personal information (height, weight, age, gender) which you provide when you create your Fitbit account, your tracker will determine your stride length to measure distance and the amount of steps you take as well. I would recommend checking this information first and make sure that all is properly entered and if it's okay, try to restart your tracker by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot and after that, try it out and see if this works better.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need any more help.
