I have noticed that when I'm on the treadmill and if I'm holding onto the bar or the rails while walking, my steps are not counted. Why is this?

Keep in mind that your Blaze will detect your steps depending on the arm movement. If you are on a treadmill and you are holding the bars, your steps won't be detected since there isn't arm movement. You can take a look at the link that our friend provided and if you really want to track your steps while being on the treadmill, you can place the tracker inside a pocket in the meantime.
