Steps recorded during workout

Hi! I'm not sure if it is a malfunction or it is supposed to work like this.  Today I set my blaze to record an excercise and I started my zumba class in the gym.  In the middle of the class my Blaze buzzed signaling I have reached my daily goal of steps.  Is it normal? Or if I tell it that I'm doing a workout shouldn't it stop recording the steps? At zumba I movr my arms a lot so I'm pretty sure the cou t is inaccurate... Thanks a lot!

a workout could be anything, or a combination of exercises. So you would not necessarily want to remove steps.
What this mode does is set the tome apart, allowing you to see more detail then I'd you hadn't.
Your tracker is on your arm and monitoring arm motions that look as of your feet are moving. So yes their may be some false steps reported, This could be minimalized by changing your setting to dominant hand comma even if you're using your non dominant.
