Steps vanished

I know it's been asked before, but I haven't seen a solution that worked for me... I had 11.000-something steps and synced my Blaze to the app and got everything green, floors, kms, cals and active minutes. Seconds later, my step count drops to 8000-something and the kms walked drops down as well. Strangely though, the cals stay the same. I tried syncing again, but that only caused my Blaze to go down in steps as well. Even the online dashboard doesn't give the 11.000 steps. Can I get it back, other than manually adding them? And how can I prevent this from happening again? It's such a bummer...

(I didn't log anything manually or use a third party app to log anything in Fitbit, I've already tried restarting the Blaze and the app. I don't use any other devices for tracking. I'm using iOS 10.3.3)

Hey there @SunsetRunner! Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you're losing steps that you've already made 😕

I was right about to ask, so thanks for confirming that you've not used any third party app or you have not been logging any steps manually.

What I can suggest by now would be to restart your tracker and to set it up as a new device to make sure everything will be fresh and syncing should happen without any problem.

For restarting your tracker, You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

For setting it up as a new device, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem and hopefully this should take care of the steps not disappearing in the future. Unfortunately, there's no way to bring those lost steps back but let me know how it goes for the next syncings!

Anything else you may need, I'm here to help!
