Still not getting the Calorie display

Attached is a display of my weekly view of calories. Should I be trying to get to the green dotted line? if so how? eat less? eat more? It makes no sense at all to me. On days when I know i've eaten more than normal eg Sunday, I get a green column yet on days where I am eating sensible and exercising loads I get the blue column saying 'Goal not met"

I totally get the 'In V Out' display and know that if i put less in than what gets expended I am going in the right direction.

Any help please
