Suggestion about screen and audio control

I'm totally new to the blaze but not to the Fitbit family. This is just a wish list but I don't know if it's possible. I was a long time surge user and one of the things I enjoyed was being able to see my stats while running and working out. With the blaze it's kind of hard because even though the quick view is turned on I still find myself tapping the screen to get it to turn on. I know you want to save battery life but I wished u had a feature that lets you keep the screen on during workouts or excersises.

Also you currently can control music on the surge and blaze yet what I can't seem to figure out is why when I hit my 1 mile pace I get the stats on the watch but I don't get a voice on my headset telling me the stats. Kind of hard to run and read. You currently do it on the app alone and so do many other apps. Wonder how hard this would be to implement.

Please Fitbit make my wishes and probably the same wishes of others come true.

Thank you in advance.

@KEM211, Here is your request to vote on.

As for no audio start announcements this is because the Blaze is doing the recording, and not your phone Fitbit phone app. The Blaze doesn't have a speaker.

@SunsetRunner Thank you for the information. First time posting but now I know. Is there any way to move my post to the future request page?

@Rich_LaueThanks for the location where to vote. as per the audio , I know the blaze doesnt have a speaker, but i just thought because in order to connect to the GPS the app has to be open the blaze can tell the app hey im at 1 mile with 9 minute pace, etc. The app can then take this information and announce it like it normally does when you are using the app to excersise. The blaze already controls the volume of the phone so it wouldn't be hard to lower the volume. IDK its just a thought 😉

The app doesn't take the info, it sends location points to the Blaze, the Blaze dose all the recording.

Yeah that makes sense. I just wished there was some sort of code that could be written to give the blaze permision to access the voice announcement that already exist in the app in order to tell you over the headsets. I'm no ECE but I just thought if my fitbit can control my volume, skip music and answer phone calls then maybe it could control the app in order to tell me how far I have been running etc.

Thanks for the info though, I guess I'm just one of those people who loves finding ways to improve things without changing the hardware 🙂
