I got used to wearing a tracker and watch on the underside of my wrist after using the MS Band for a few years. I find this protects the face/touchscreen better from accidental scrapes and impacts.
This has two problems with the fitbits I've used (Charge, Charge HR, and Blaze). First, the Quick View never works because lifting your arm and rotating out is not the same motion as lifting your arm, crossing your body, and turning it over. Second, the text is rotated 90 deg from where it would be most legible. I've seen the Alta can be set to rotate its clockface in this manner, but no other Fitbit trackers I've seen.
I know Fitbit recommends the trackers on the outside of the wrist, but for those that prefer otherwise, and who don't have problems with HR tracking when wearing them under the wrists, it would be very helpful to have this option. The MS Band had settings for whether it was on dominant or non-dominant hand ( like Fitbit ) but also for whether it was above or below the wrist. The combination of those settings would tell the tracker how the text should be oriented and what motion should trigger the Quick View. I think the Blaze, Charge, and Alta families would all benefit from this option.

@SunsetRunner i see this has been suggested for the Surge and Blaze.
Why not go there and sdd your vote and brief comment. You are a lawyer presenting your case for this feature to fitbit.
I can see that this feature would benifit the Alta, Alta HR, Surge, Charge 2, Blaze, and the Flex 2.
