Have any surge users out there switched over to Blaze? I am thinking of making the switch and keeping the surge around for GPS when I want it...

The blaze seems like a much better option for daily wear- thoughts?

With the Blaze you still get Gps connected to the phone

I switched for about 3 days. I like it so far. It is easier to wear like a regular watch without the bulky and curvy band, especially for my small wrist. It wears much more comfortably.

Compared to Surge, the biggest inconvenience is that the screen does not stay on, making instant visuals on info during workouts difficult. Have to keep turning wrist or tapping the screen to see HR or calories burnt. That's most likely to save battery. I made a suggestion to make the "screen on" as an option for exercise modes. Hope Fitbit listens.

I've got a Surge and a blaze. Since I've got the Blaze I haven't worn the surge once. I do all my runs with my phone so the gps wasn't a problem. It was my 2nd surge as the first cracked near the screws.

For me the Blaze just looks so much better and does everything the surge did.

I bought the surge in the UK two weeks ago, the Blaze is still in short supply here and the usual sellers Currys and Argos still to this day don't have them in stock.
However I was so disappointed with the Surge I returned it. The display was poor and the backlight had five options - Really really dark through to just dark, it's pants.
i then tried the Vivosmart HR, again the display was poor.
Then I found a Blaze at an Argos, it had literally just come in that day. I stood in the shop and quickly researched the blaze. Half an hour later I bought it.

It's brilliant... Just get it.

Same here! I was on my 2nd surge due to the cracks near the screws and decided to get the blaze. It's only been a day so far, but I really like it!

I love my blaze. I did not get the surge as I have a small wrist. I don't notice I have the blaze on through the day. Very comfortable and love the features.

Yep. I went from the Surge to the Blaze, mostly for cosmetic reasons. I was initially concernd about the lack of native GPS but realized that I'm never without my phone anyway.

Much better display/interface, much better text message readability, a lot less clunky.

No regrets.

I love the blaze b/c it's really bright and colorful..  Also not missing the surge b/c not an issue to use my phone as my GPS Connectivity.  I love that it has a timer - stopwatch and countdown.  I use it when i'm cooking so I don't overcook my meals 🙂

I'll still use the surge when I run, but will probably use the blaze the rest of the time.

I just brought home new Blaze after Surge stopped connecting.    How do I bring over my 13 months of existing data to new Blaze.

Thanx

I have a Blaze. The big issue for me is the GPS. Even when connected to my phone it still uses estimated distance from your stride data for distance and pace. From what I can tell the connected GPS is only there to draw a line on a map. There is no real time GPS information fed back from the phone to the watch. Epic fail for me. I'll be returning it.

As far as I know, your synced data is stored with your account which is
viewable from mobile app or desktop app. When you add a new device, your
new Surge, new data will continous to register. Hope this helps.

Hello @BikeBoy as @Edmondlui stated, yout not swotching accounts, your switching trackers.

Your data is never stored on the tracker, phone or computer.

Simply do an add device, adding the Blaze to yoir current fitbit account.
