Sync Issues with Blaze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I see there are multiple threads on this topic but none I believe addresses the issue I am facing (and assume others are):

IPhone6 sync: I believe for it to be notifying me of messages/ph. calls Blaze always needs to be connected to Bluetooth. However, this feature works only sometimes and some calls/texts do not show up on the Blaze even though my phone is always just a few feet away.

The other issue is data syncing. I have the All-Day Sync feature off. Not sure if this is the  reason why it does not sync with the app. I have to force it manually and then it happens.

Also, I have a PC with the dongle, it never had an issue syncing when I had the One for over 5 years. Now only when I switch off the I-Phone Bluetooth does it sync normally (as in every so often).

Bottom line, there seems to be a Blaze connectivity-sync issue with the I-phone and needs to be resolved. Otherwise, I have to use it without the Bluetooth which kind of defeats the reason why I bought this.

@Fitbit Mods:Would appreciate a straightforward answer if this is fixable or is this an issue you are addressing. Too confusing to understand what the current state is reading all the posts!

@qualitieI don't mean to insult your intelligence in any way, but have you got the Bluetooth set to Bluetooth Classic rather than standard Bluetooth?  Check this post (although it's aimed at Android devices) and this one, which is aimed at iPhone devices.

Hope this helps in some way!

Hopefully, someone else can help with the other points.

@qualitie first let's make sure that the Fitbit app is up to date. As for Bluetooth Classic this is used for music control, but with the current iOS app music control happens through the same Low Energy Bluetooth that the Blaze uses to sync through.

About all day sync being off, this will require you to open up, our bring the app to the front to sync. At this time the app should indicate with a spinning circle that a sync has started.

One more thing you could try for notifications and sync help would be to turn on always connected. I believe iOS has this option.

Do you also sync through a second device, such as a tablet or iPad? Is so, and of the Blaze is connected to that, it will prevent the phone from being able to communicate with the Blaze. This is a limitation of Bluetooth and not related to Fitbit only.

For some more thoughts please see the following help documents.

All this and more can be found on the interactive help manual, which also has a link.below.

Let is know it you need more help.

Disclaimer, I'm an Android user so what I rely on is the help section and what moderators have stated about the iOS. I'm sure others will jump in, if you would like I can move this thread to the ios section, or you could edit the title to include IOS. Either way it will then let others know what platform your problems are on..
