Syncing, text notifications and battery life difficulties

A couple of months ago, I have stopped receiving text and hangout notifications.  I still get my email updates, however.  It wasn't a big issue, just more annoying then anything.

About a month ago, my app stopped automatically syncing steps.  Going into the app to sync data takes several tries and a long time to sync.  Previously it took less than 5 seconds, now at least a minute.

Additionally, about a week ago my Blaze stopped holding a charge.  I thought at first that it was my imagination and that it had been some time since I charged it.  However, I charged it up to full yesterday before I left work (I made sure it was at 100% before removing it from the charger), got to work this morning and saw that it was at 20%.

I have in the last several months tried the following:

- Unpair and repair my device to my phone

- Unistalled the Fitbit app

- Removed the device from the Fitbit app and re-added

- Restarted my Blaze and phone

- Turned off and on Bluetooth

- Turned off and on 'All day sync', 'Always connected', and 'Notification'

- Multiple combinations of the attempts above

Pixel 3 XL

Android version: 10 (QP1A.191005.007)

Blaze firmware version: 17.8.42.1

Fitbit app version: 3.7

Hello @divorn, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate all the information and details that were shared in your post, thanks for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting too. Regarding notifications, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Blaze are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.

I'd like to share with you that the battery of our Fitbit Blaze was designed to last 5 days but this also depends on how frequently you use it’s features. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much. After doing so, please this help article for more tips and recommendations. Such article includes as restart process that will refresh the device performance after applying the changes.

About syncing, check how this process works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Google Pixel 3XL that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed faster. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

I'll be around, let me know if you have any additional questions.
