Russian symbols in call notifications show up as blank recatangles, which can point to Unicode support problems?
Any way to resolve it?

@AAverin Welcome to the Community! Currently, Blaze won't show you emoticons. That's why it's not showing Russian symbols in your messages. You may want to vote for this idea, it's about supporting emoticons on Blaze.

Thanks for voting Robot Happy

Hello Silvia.

Well, I personally don't care much about emoticons themselves, but rather would like to see callers name in the notification.

I will vote for the idea, thanks.

@SilviaFitbit It's strange that you offered to vote for this feature, but this feature even have not reviewed by moderators for months. How we would hope for any news, will or not it be implimented and when? Now, it looks more like, never. If FitBit team, don't want to do it, may be it's time to give a chance for open-source community ?

Hi there @DAiMor. Welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂

I'd just like to jump in to clarify that feature requests are not categorized as soon as they come in. It takes a process of finding similar requests and merging them to keep everything organized and in the case they are unique, they are left to grow a little before they are categorized.

I'd really recommend adding your vote and any comments you may have there for it to gain popularity and hopefully see something like this implemented in a near future.

Anything else you may need, we're around to help! 😄

Hey there @Bike-Green. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂

Since right now the Surge doesn't support some characters, Unicode support would be awesome. I recommend voting for this feature request to make it agin popularity and to make it easier for our developers to notice and work on.

Anything else, let us know!

Six months later and no unicode support!!!! can't set a flag such as utf-8 ??? Quite dissapointing!

For them does not matter how long ago it was requested, they are looking only at how many people want this feature, and unfortunately this feature has too less votes. And sure that developers and managers even know about it, while moderators review it. Fitbit is an american company, so, for the most part of customers, this feature is useless. So why, developers should care about our part of customers which is so little.

There is no excuse for not supporting unicode in 21st century..

I believe many people already raised this question and the problem still exists... Russian language is not supported in FitBit notifications ...thinking about returning my fitbit due to this reason and will not recommend it to my russian-speaking friends....I live in Denver, where Denver Metro area has over 80.000 Russian speaking people, city of New York has over a million, Russian speaking people live all over United States and if you are planning to one day sell FitBit in Russia, Russia has 143 million population, just FYI... you are loosing your customers just because you don't care to implement a simple feature and update current software....  that is why may be Apple watch is better.

Hi there @YuliyanY @DAiMor @dsolonenko, good to see you around!

It seems that the suggestion is still available for users to vote for this and for our team to review it. Keep in mind that the more votes it gets, the more chances for it to be considered to be implemented. Thank you so much for understanding!

@VitalyOkinawa, there is a feature suggestion as well for Russian support. You can see it here and add your vote and comments  there. Welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂

It is really a shame that we are still asking for unicode support in the year of 2018. Come on, fitbit, show some respect to users all around the world!
