I really would like to turn off music controls for my blaze. Whenever I start a workout session it starts playing music from my music library in the cloud. For some reason it NEVER chooses the music downloaded to my phone. It's eating up my data for a feature that doesn't actually work when I'm in the middle of a workout. Swiping doesn't do anything but scorll through workout stats and pushing/holding the top button doesn't do anything. This is ridiculous, I would really like to turn this feature off. It's costing me money. I paid enough for this ridiculous device, I'd really rather not have to pay an additional monthly charge because I can't disconnect my music from the fitbit app.

Hello @Gingerantics, it really should not be starting a music session, but without knowing what phone you have it is hard to say what is going on.
The Blaze actually does not have any way of statting up a music app on the Android, but if a music app is running and ready to play something the Blaze can start it. However you need to be in the music control menu to do this.
My first thought is to do a restart of the Blaze http://help.fitbit.com/?q=restart

It's great to see you around @Gingerantics and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.
As mentioned, the Blaze doesn't have an option to turn off the music control feature. You can try to turn off the bluetooth classic option and just turn it on at the moment of listening music. You can turn off the blueotooth classic by doing the following directly from the Blaze:
1. Slide to Settings
2. Scroll down to bluetooth classic
3. Tap it to "Off"
Also, I recommend checking the Music OFF/ON control request, vote for it and leave your comment.
Let me know how it goes.

I have an iPhone 6 plus. Since I got the blaze there is a music bar at the top of the workout screen. I'd really like the fitbit app to not eat up my data. At this point I'm not sure it's worth the monthly fee to use this thing. I was using a Charge HR, but the replacement is falling apart six months after it was sent to me (because the original started falling apart six months after I bought it. For the cost of these devices you'd think they would last longer than a few months.
I've tried turning off the bluetooth, but if I do that it doesn't let me use all day sync.

Hello, I hope I'm not to late on telling you. But, the way to turn off the music is to unpair your watch from your phone. This will still give you your msg and notifications, but the music will deactivate.

@Amayaodcx on Android, one would want to unpair the Blaze Classic. On iOS music is controlled by the same BT that syncs the tracker.
Unpairing the Blaze would work, but it will also stop notifications from working.
