Texting issue on the Fitbit Blaze

How come I can recieve texts on my fitbit blaze but not respond to them?  I dont like the concept of this.  I returned my FitBit until that option is available.

I dont think there were ever plans to be able to respond to a text. Sorry

The feature request board is where the developers look to see what features the users would like to see, I've noticed a bunch of these requests have recently been added.
To answer your question, the Blaze was never meant to be a complete smart watch.
