The new fit bit watch?

I sent an email asking if the new watch will work on tattooed skin. Four days later I got an answer saying that it was available for pre order, and that's it. It didn't say anything about tattooed skin. Since fit bit didn't help, at all, can some one here help?

Tattooed skin is a known issue for interfering with reading heart rate using the techniques used by Fitbits, i.e. shining LEDs on the skin.  The pigment in the tattoo blocks the light from penetrating the skin and detecting blood flow.  If you have heavily tatooed wrists you are unlikely to get good results.

My thought, knowing how colors and light work,  thos would depend on how dark and what color the tatoo is.
