Treadmill Speed Difference

Yesterday I walked at a pace of 3.5 on the treadmill for 45 minutes.  My fitbit stated that I burned 319 calories, walked 1.98 miles and 4616 steps.  Today I thought I'd up the speed slightly, to 4.0 for the same amount of time 45 minutes, it says I burned 310 calories, only 1.07 miles and only 2613 steps.  Why would I have so many less miles and steps if I was going at a faster pace.

Incidentally my treadmill stated that I walked 3 miles today and burned 376 calories.

The calories are close.

About the distance, since GPS is unable to work when you stand still, you will have to set your stride for the speed your running at on the treadmill.

Your tracker takes your steps and multiplys this number by the distance moved per step (the stride).

Great to see you here @NadVal. Can you please tell me how are you logging this activity? Is the tracker recognizing it or are you manually logging this activity or are you selecting this activity directly from the Blaze? In this case, I recommend using the SmartTrack feature, which will automatically record this activity.

Hope to hear from you soon. Woman Happy
