Blaze syncing issues

I have had a Blaze since Christmas to replace my old Charge.  I am finding that I am having to reboot my phone and the Blaze at least once a week as the syncing of messages etc stops working.  It keeps happening and is very frustrating.  I am also finding that the Blaze is recording a lot less steps for equivalent routes than my old Charge did.  I have already contacted customer service about this previously and followed their suggestions but they have not improved matters.  I am not sure if the Blaze is maybe not as sensitive so that if my arm is not swinging, for example because I am holding dog leads, it doesn't record my steps the same.

It will not be accurate when holding on to things as it does need to see the arms swinging. But this is the same for any wrist model

 

have you changed the sensitivity on it?

Under settings and Wrist change it to the opposite that you wear it. Example I wear it on my Non Dominate arm but the setting are set to Dominate

Thanks, I have it set for and wear it on my non-dominant arm, I thought that would be the more sensitive setting?  I can try changing this though to see if that helps.  My Charge had no problem counting the steps even though holding onto dog leads (I have three dogs so need to use both hands!!) and my son's Alta does seem to be OK too.  Thanks for the suggestion will try it out.
