Unable to access food database

I have read all of the previous comments for this issue however I have logged in, logged out, reset, updated and done everything I've read but still I can't access the database for listed foods so that I can log my food intake in. This has become very frustrating!!! I can't do it on my phone or on my PC. What can I do to fix this as having no use to this feature makes my weightloss log ins useless!?

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix problem. Are you receiving any type of error at the moment of logging your food? Can you provide me with some screenshots?

It does not even give me the option to search the database for food. (greyed out) Without this category it makes the fit bit app really useless.
