Unicode Support on Fitbit Blaze

Dear Fitbit Support Team,

Please could you implement Unicode support to all Fitbit devices with a screen (Blaze, Ionic, etc.), as people have been requesting this on the forum for the past 2 years

I'm half Japanese and often receive messages in Japanese from my friends, however these come up as squares on my Blaze because of the lack of Unicode support.

I know that I can change the language settings of my Blaze to Japanese, which subsequently allows Japanese text to be displayed properly (so there's definitely no problem with the Blaze itself).

However, as I'm not a native Japanese speaker, I find it difficult to read all of the menus on my Blaze as well as the Fitbit app on my phone in Japanese, rendering this workaround useless for me.

Please could you finally implement Unicode support via a firmware update, as I'm sure that everyone that has waited these 2 long years will be eternally grateful.

Hoping for the best!

A warm welcome to the Community @Kintama.

I think this would be a really helpful feature for the Fitbit devices. Please take a look at the IONIC: Unicode to support languages (Notifications on Cyrillic, Greece, Hebrew, Indian, Czech, etc.) request, vote for it and leave your comment.

Catch you later. Smiley Happy
