I started using the Blaze ( one week ago ) and have been using the Surge since Dec 2014 I would be using both of them at different times of the day till i start getting used to the Blaze . Is it possible now that I have added both devices to get my total steps added up because it doesnt seem to be adding up and Im loosing my total step count I know it sounds a little different but I just would like to try doing this overlap of both devices Thank you for any help

I have found that switching between devices can be quirky if I don't sync before switching and that wearing both at the same time can cause strange results.

Thanks for your post and sharing your experience  .

I would like the fitbit team to explain it also

I have no issues wearing my One for part of the day and the Blaze for the other.  My pracrice is to do the sync while working for about an hour with both devices and my mobile device nearby.  If the sync does not occur by the time I'm on the move, I simply open the app on my phone.  The sync then occurs immediately and the data is the same on both devices and the dashboard.  Just great, and the main reason I'd choose Fibit over the others.

Yes.  If you have 5000 steps on the Blaze and 5000 steps on another FB device, after syncing all devices and your dashboard will read 10,000 steps.  Also. you're not supposed to wear both devices at the same time, but if you do then FB will try to remove overlapping steps so you get a correct total read.

Hello @Gandhi@SteveH and @wxman123 it's great to have you here! 🙂 @Gandhi I noticed that @wxman123 answered your questions about having multiple devices on your account. For more information about this click here

Happy stepping! 🙂

Hi,

Any tips for syncing with a flex and charge?  Customer service told me to set up two different accounts in order to use the two trackers but the multiple tracker article says otherwise.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@megan306 you'll find plenty of tips above.
My question would be, do you want to set it up so that you can compare trackers, or to have a choice of which to use?
If you want to compare than yes you would set up 2 accounts, friend them and wear both. If you want the ability to switch trackers, then add the tracker as a second device.

I'd like to be able to switch between the two devices and have the steps earned on each show as a combined total on my dashboard and sync to the device I am current using. For example, start my day wearing my charge (2000 steps), switch to flex to run (8000 steps), and then return to my charge for the remainder of the day. When I do this currently the two totals don't sync and I lose the steps earned while wearing the flex. I'm sure it's just a procedural thing in the way that I'm syncing the two devices.

At least for me, two trackers on one account, the totals DO combine.  If I do 2000 steps on my One and 2000 steps on my Blaze, once the sync occurs both devices will read 4000 steps.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @megan306 🙂 It's great to have you here! 🙂 As @Rich_Laue and @wxman123 mentioned if you are not wearing both devices at the same time you can have them both linked to your account. You can read more about this feature here

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

I find multi tracker support works great! I always sync by opening my app when I switch trackers. I have never had a problem with data not adding up correctly.
