This isnt really a Blaze specific question, but I wonder if anybody can help me?
I have a Blaze, and am having big problems with the connected GPS feature, in that its totally unreliable and I am finding that most of my runs are missing huge chunks of the map data, which is very disappointing. I am considering getting a Surge to wear during my runs, as this has its own GPS. However, I would like to still try and troubleshoot my Blaze connected GPS issues, particularly when the delayed Feb Blaze update arrives, so my question is this:
I would like to wear both the Surge and the Blaze on a run, so that the Surge will give me the 100% accuracy that I want, but the Blaze will let me test the same run, using the mobile phone's GPS.
Assuming I manually track the activity on both devices, will both be retained in Fitbit, or will one over-write the other? I understand duplicate steps are dealt with by the Fitbit app, but this is a little different as it is a specifically tracked activity (Run).
I dont actually plan to try to keep duplicate runs, I would delete one of them from the dashboard, but I would like to know if both will appear for me to review the two side-by-side.
Thanks !

Can't really say what will happen, I've done this in the past and got a map for the one tracker and a map for the Surge. As f or steps Fitbit does its best to figure out what the ought have been. No it does not double the step count.
If you really want to compare the trackers need to be on separate accounts, and you want the app logged into the account with the Blaze, during the walk.

Thanks that's helpful. I'm not interested in getting double steps, that would be bad, but being able to keep both activities, to compare maps and other metics will be most useful.
If anybody has two trackers which both support GPS or connected GPS and can confirm that would be great!

If wearing two trackers while on a run does what it did for me in the past, yes you will be able to compare the maps. As for step counts, since you are using two trackers on the same account, the Fitbit server will try to make some sense out of it. For me this next the calories and step counts where identical for the two logs.

It's great to see you around @GarethDPhillips and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.
Regarding with the inconvenience of the GPS that you have, I recommend following the instructions provided in the My Blaze GPS is not working post. Now about using a Surge and a Blaze, you can use the Surge just for running and the Blaze for the rest of the day but I don't recommend wearing both trackers at the same time.
Catch you later.
