WALK Feature: Can We Get It, FitBit ?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

A suggestion for FitBit Mods to forward to the FitBit Tech Support guys/gals:

(1)  The Blaze has a bunch of functions -- RUN, EXCERCISE, FITSTAR, etc.   I think we need a WALK feature.  When activated, the Blaze should assume that the individual is walking and walking only. Arm motion or Stride Distance should kick in automatically.  A PAUSE or OFF feature can then indicate that the individual may or may NOT be walking -- as is the case now when the Blaze has to determine if the person is stationary or moving.  But the WALK feature would heighten the Blaze's sensitivity to being accurate by assuming all the acitvity is walking.

When it is ON, it would be during a dedicated walk (or run).

When it is OFF, the Blaze would shift between determining if the person was in motion or not.

(2)  If the WALK function wasn't operated, then the Blaze would work as it does today.  Well, hopefully better with that software fix you are working on.

It's great to see you around @Corvettekid. Actually, Blaze can detect when you are just walking (see attached image). If you would like to make more suggestions, I recommend sharing your ideas on our Ideas Board, since I didn't find any suggestion about this you can create a new one.

Doesn't the "Walk" option covered under "Exercise" do this exactly?

Great to see you here @Bayoumama. Actually you can use both, I do not use the "Walk" exercise option directly from my Blaze, I prefer SmartTrack. But yes, you can use both.
