I think it's a downgrade from the charge hr band material (which i think is the same as the suge). It's stiffer, less comfortable. I get frustrated with getting it in and out of the extra length band holder which painfully pulls my arm hair (or whatever you call it). It . I know I can spend $100 on a better band, but for $200 the stock band should be better, at least as good as previous model fitbits. Thoughts?

I agree it's stiffer than the Surge band I'm used to but I wonder if it will soften up. I'm only on day 2 and I think it's more pliable already.
I guess they could have strengthened it as there were some complaints of previous bands getting too worn.
I guess I'm quite happy and really like the blue colour but I'm still tempted by the metal band (if only it weren't so expensive!)

I can't say I've noticed any difference really. It was a little stiffer getting off when I tried it for the first time yesterday but other then that I don't see a problem.

Fits comfortable here, not feeling at all when wearing (having the smallest band).. no issues from yesterday regarding the stifness of the band, very flexible from the start. Came new in sealed package.
