Whatsapp double notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been using WhatsApp for many years and I used to have an iPhone. The notifications were great.

However, I've moved to Android (Pixel 2) and for some reason, for each message I receive on WhatsApp, I get two Fitbit notifications. One is just the message, and the second starts with the sender's name...

Anyone else have this? Its not _that_ much of a problem its just annoying. Like a wasp, at a picnic with open ale cans and egg mayo sandwiches....

Nice to see that you're digging into the Fitbit Forums @christatedavies, let me give you a warm Welcome to our Community. Cat Happy Thanks for sharing those details.

If you haven't already done so I would like to suggest you to restart your Blaze. To do so please follow the steps below:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If your Fitbit Blaze doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

Give it a shot and let me know if that works!Cat Very Happy

Hi,

I'm having similar problems receiving WhatsApp notifications from my Samsung phone. The first one comes through on my FitBit with just the sender's name and then a second message comes through with the sender's name and the message. I've tried restarting my phone, resyncing my Fitbit to my phone, turning bluetooth off/on, turning off notifications, reregistering/ rebooting etc. and then turning notifications back on but it's still doing it.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks, Sarah 😊

I'm afraid my solution probably won't be any help to you. Basically I smashed my watch and replaced it with an Ionic and no longer have the issue!

But nothing that was suggested worked. So not sure what the problem was. Maybe try completely wiping your fitbit watch, re-install the app on the phone. Start from scratch?

Can't think what else might work.
