Wondering which wrist is best to wear it on? I am dominant on my right hand however I do a lot of typing with my left. I have been waking up in the morning with 14-20 steps before even getting out of bed. I switched the settings to dominant, despite I'm wearing it on my NON DOMINANT left wrist. I also just updated my sleep setting to sensitive. So, should I set my settings to non dominant again now that I have changed my sleep settings? I know trackers will always be off and won't be 'perfect' but I would like to get as close as possible, and wear it the right way.

@emilyvh Dominant will make it a bit less sensitive to movement, whereas Non Dominant makes it a little more sensitive to movement. So it really just depends on your preference and what works best for you. Ideally you would choose whichever setting corresponds with the wrist you're wearing the tracker on.
As far as sleep goes, most people probably use the normal setting as opposed to sensitive. If you want a more detailed picture of your movements during sleep, then sensitive would be the way to go.

Thanks for your help! I changed my settings back to non dominant, and the sleep one a well. Was just curious to see other people's suggestions since I'm new to Fitbit!

@emilyvh Sure thing. 🙂
Yeah I find that Non Dominant works best (for me at least), but you can always play around with the settings.

Here's something:
I am right handed, but for everything else except for writing, throwing and playing a guitar, I'm left handed. I even play percussion left handed. Due to this, I put my FitBit on my left wrist, and set it as Non-Dominant.
For those settings, I would set Sleep for Normal and Non-Dominant for the wrist.
I pulled a search on this and the results came back inconclusive.

For me I choose the left arm since I don't like things on my right wrist..
I eat right with the left and do everything elseveith my right arm.
Setting the unit to non dominate gives me closest to what the Fitbit One gives me.
Yes I agree since is a personal choice, there will not be any definite answer.
