My husband and i bought our Blaze HR fitbits within a week of each other. We tried to be friends with each other, but every time i tried adding him, it would give me an impending symbol, even AFTER he accepted the request. I would appear on his friends list, but he wouldn't show up on mine. However, I can be friends with other fitbit users, as I have them on my friends list, just not my husband's.
Also, he would send me messages through the app, I would try to reply and I would get the notice saying "This person is no longer your friend."
I contacted support about 2 months ago when this first happened, but all they said was that it was firmware issue that would be resolved in the next update. BULL**ahem**. Hasn't happened yet. We just tried, after having had our fitbits for about 2 months now and having had several updates.
Getting really pissed here.

@ihateusernames i think if you scroll to the bottom of your friends list, then tap show inative users, you will see your husband.
If so then have tour husband go to his settings at https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit
Scroll down to Preferances and change Friend Rankings to show me.
This would not be firmware, but maybe the app or server.
Have you looked at your friends list through the website and not the app?

Call support again. You probably got someone who did not understand what you were saying at all.
It sounds like it is an app issue. I would uninstall the app and reinstall the app. Also, what phone do you have? (I assume you are using a mobile app) It is possible that the issue is due to incompatibility with the device you are using.
Try to have someone else add your husband. Has he successfully added other friends? This will help narrow down the issue.

I have two friends that are doing 300,000 steps a week, they have chosen to hide their steps, because people say they are cheeting, they do show up inactive.
So if your husband shows up on your leaderboard, then i dont understand, you cant add someone who is allready a friend.
Actually by pressing add friend on a persons public profile, you are requesting to be friends nit adding them. They still have chose whether to accept or decline.

300,000 steps a week? That's over 42,000 steps a day. What do they do for a living? I'd have to run a marathon every day to get that amount.
Maybe a postman who has a 25 mile walking route and delivers the post every day would get that amount of steps. That would be one long route though.

Have you checked your fitbit.com profile or just the app profile?
Just a thought, try having him remove you as a friend and re-add you.
It would appear that you are already friends if you show up on his leaderboard. It is very possible it is a settings issue within your app, I just don't know what that setting might be. A call to support might be the way to go.
