Why did fitbit listed galaxy s8 as compatible

I am having issues syncing notifications between fitbit blaze and galaxy s8.
Browsing through forums, it shows several other users are also seeing the same.

In the compatibility page , "Call & Text Notifications" is clearly described as under feature compatible with Galaxy S8.

FYI : I have tried all troubleshooting solutions.
Restarting phone, restarting blaze, reinstalling fitbit app, deleting pairing and repairing,
disabling-enabling notifications, reassigning permissions to fitbit notifications service,
reassigning permissions to fitbit app to access call, text, and other required services on android.

Is fitbit blaze really compatible to sync "Call & Text Notifications" with galaxy s8?

Outside of a few sync problems with the Ionic my galaxy S8.

Notifications seems to work fine for the Surge, Blaze, Charge 2,, Ionic, and Flex 2.

It did take a day or two for the app to pair the tracker.

One thing you haven't mentioned trying is to clear the Fitbit app's cache.

Do your notifications show up on the phones lock screen?

Does the Blaze show as connected in the phones Bluetooth?

You say that you unpired then repaired, not sure how you would repair this is what the app does, not the user.. If you where able to pair the blaze I would unpaid and wait for the app to pair.

My Blaze has never been able to pair with my S8 no matter what I've done and I've done it all many times, except with Bluetooth Classic which won't do notifications.  "Pairing Rejected By Blaze" is all I get.  The phone sees it but won't pair.  Yet, Fitbit says the S8 is fully compatible.  Lately, they have been passing the buck to Samsung.  Funny how I don't remember anything about Samsung making the Blaze or that they will provide the fixes for something the manufacture is untruthful about.  Still no warning or correction in their marketing concerning compatibility with the S8.  So, they keep selling these to unknowing customers with Samsung phones even though the device doesn't work with them.

Right now there are 8, 200 item pages of Blaze watches on eBay.  More than 50% are used devices.  People are fed up and dumping them like hotcakes.  If I don't get a fix soon mine will be on page 9.  I'm so glad I didn't pay full price for this thing and I pity anyone who did and has an S8 phone.

Of course you will get the reject message if you keep trying to pair through the I ones bluetooth.

You need to setup the tracker to your Fitbit account, log into your Fitbit account through the app and let the app do the pairing.

@lapriester the way I do it or for indeed work. I got notifications and am able to. Ontario the phones music. These all seem to work fine. Even the live desktop works, even if sync doesn't.

It is the syncing I have problems with and find that dragging the dashboard works more consistently in syncing.

Normally swiping unneeded apps out of memory, or clearing the fitbit's cache.

Otherwise I will do a soft restart the tracker. Today however I had to do a hard shutdown and restart through the tracker a menu.
