So you've developed a completely new device but still don't support CallerID,Text Messaging or Calendar updates on Windows Phone?

Hi @Kairatera please see this post. The team is working on this now and hoping to have it implemented in the spring.

Thank you, Julia! I see in the post it is about GATT, does that only affect notifications or is GPS also being worked on?

GPS uses the notification service so yes both should then start working

I just recently bought the Blaze because I read about the private beta testing going on for the GATT server functions. I'm enjoying the tracker but missing the notifications I got using the Microsoft Band.
How can I help test? I'm on the fast ring on a 950XL.

I agree. Even sadder is that my daughter got me the blaze for Christmas and was made to think that it would sinc with my windows phone including texting and calls.

@nannydt11, hang on in there! Texts and calls are coming to Windows phones very soon, but your phone will need to be running Windows phone 10. 8.1 will not be supported.

We're getting very close, but unfortunately the fixes required in the OS (Windows Operating System) may not be released to the general public until the next OS update.
Please be patient, it'll be worth the wait 🙂

When you say the 'next OS update' do you mean a minor update - an update that we'll need to wait 6 months for? Really looking forwards to having notifications.

Probably Windows 11, Win10 is getting close to retirement and their phones seem to be vanishing.
The next proposed move is for the phone to be married to the desktop and tablet with a min OS

I have a Windows 10 Lumia 950 - so are you saying I'll never get notifications on my fitbit until I get a new phone?

The next Windows 10 OS (including Windows Phone OS) update is scheduled for sometime late 2017 (Fall update)
So it's going to be at least another 5-6 months before Fit Bit can actually do what they've been promising to do for what is it 2 years now. And no I dont believe it's all down to Microsoft. After all we're talking about lack of promised/advertised 'features' in a Fit Bit product.
I guess Fit Bit will run another 6 month Beta user 'programme' after Microsoft have fixed what Fit Bit claim they're waiting on. So dont expect to have Windows Phone - Blaze notifications before the middle
of 2018. (if then)
It's deal breaker for me. My next smart watch wont be from Fit Bit, It'll be from a company that actually delivers a product that does what it's advertised to do.

The Galaxy S8 is a relatively new device and Fitbit is still working on getting the kinks out.
Since we are talking about Android phones, with no set standard, it means the app needs to be rewritten for almost every model. There has been plenty of thteads on the S8 around these forums.

Do yo think Fitbit has access to every phone and derivitive on the market? With mostbandroid phones the troublem is in the ph9nes Hardware, not the software.
As for Windows, Fitbit has been working with Microsoft to get notifacations working. There also has been, now closed, beta testing going on for a few months. Sorry you missed the chance to join.

Any news for the blaze, I bought the blaze solely based on the fact it was windows phone compliant... so far I ve been disappointed 😞

It will synchronize but that's about all it does with a Windows Phone. Windows phone is pretty much forgotten by MS these days. No new phones no news. It's pretty safe because hackers are ignoring it too.
