Microsoft will not release am update to a third party app, Fitbit. The update was for the phone.

You have to be on the fast ring on the insiders program.

I have a Blaze with a 950XL. I have not missed any notifications in months, even with third party apps. I’ve gone weeks without even opening my Fitbit app.

I am on the insiders ring. If you're not, then you will have to wait for the fall update. I will tell you that the insider ring is very stable. They have only been adding fixes.

That's great news. My phone is a 950XL, but I'm not on the ring, but this
motivates me to do it. Thank you so much for making me aware!!

Regards,

Bo

I tried inside ring on slow, but nothing has changed. I do get notifications on sms and calls like before, but no apps like skype or WhatsApp. Do i have to go to the fast ring? Thanks again.

You have to enable each app in the third-party section.

again, thanks for your guidance. So the third party apps are only the Fitbit partner apps? In other words, the blaze is still unable to provide simple push message notifications from all basic apps like WhatsApp, messenger, skype, Facebook, etc? That's what we ask need to replace the MS Band functionality, same as all smartwatches... 😞

Third party apps are apps that are not Fitbit or Microsoft, ie, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc., they all work for me. I had to turn some off because they were too much.

AG, thanks - that's great to hear. In my third party apps i only see fitness apps, so maybe i'm looking in the wrong place? Or do i have to be on the fast insiders ring (I chose slow)?

The Fitbit app simply monitors the notifications.sent through the  notification center 9f the phone

You tell the Fitbit app what apps on your phone that uou want to be passed on to the Blaze.

In Android you can choose what ever app you want, or every app.

My screenshots…

1. Tap on the Blaze icon on the bottom of the screen to expand the menu
2. Tap the Blaze icon again to get to it’s menu
3. Choose the last option, app notifications
4. Choose your apps, be patient with the list of apps. It can take some time for them to load.

Fitbit small DEVELOPMENT ISSUE: Wow, the power of screenshots... thanks! I had been looking at that notifications screen several times, but i only had three options... based on your shot, AG, i force-scrolled it up and there it was, except i couldn't just scroll.. i had to hold my finger on it, otherwise it dropped out of sight again. That also meant i couldn't turn the slider to ON. 🙂 FINALLY figured it out - by lowering the overall text size on the phone and reboot, i got the screen to work! However, when i now click the App Notifications to ON, I still dont get the app list. I waited over 5 minutes.. rebooted the app ... more waiting...  so now wondering if i need to go to the fast ring to see them there... See, exactly like your signature says:"..one step at a time..." 🙂

I have read in the forums that some people had to adjust their text scale. I’m glad you got that far now. I believe the OS version has to be at least 15228? Not 100% sure on that.

I’ve been on the fast ring since day one. It’s on my daily driver phone and I haven’t had any issues.

I am lost, I got messages and notifications on Friday 8/25/17 then Saturday and Sunday nothing. Today nothing yet.  Still haven't got any calls showing on my Fitbit blaze at all.  This is how it has been for the last couple of weeks.  Always nothing on Sundays at all. Some days on other days off.  Is this because you are still testing?

Sorry, i dont work for fitbit - just used that headliner to point them to this. But good news, after going to WP fast ring, i do see the apps, i enabled them and get notifications. Think it's not consistent, as i got one test message, but missed two others...  but hey, this is another step forward. Thank you so much, AG, I had given up - so your help was wonderful!

Should work with any Windows phone, but I am on the 950XL with the Fast Insiders ring enabled and the latest fitbit software as of aug.28th. Getting some messages, but not all.

I see the App Notifications Beta option on my Windows 10 computer, but not on my Windows Phone (10).. I turned on the Beta in Windows 10 but nothing appears on my Blaze.. Anything I'm missing here?
