I have had this product for a couple months and stopped wearing it. I got to charge it today with the hopes of wearing it and it won't charge. I have reset it and still nothing.

Hi WendyB,

Yes, there were some black dots on the contacts and it cannot be cleaned off.  It seems that there are some pitted surfaces which cannot be seen clearly but I do not think it can affect the charging. However, it cannot be as I bought the Blaze for less than 2 years.

I'm having the exact same problem.

3 of the 4 contact points for charging on the back of my FitBit Blaze have black on them, and appear to be pitted.

I contacted FitBit customer support and they did nothing for me. Sent me a coupon for 25% off a new FitBit. That'll never get used...

Ya mine is similar. Apparently I think Fitbit blaze has a serious problem. The gold plated may be too thin and after used for slightly more than a year or after the warranty it got charging problems.

A few few of my friends is similar too. I am actually considering other Brand’s as Fitbit does not help me at all.

I agree,

It's a manufacturer defect, yet FitBit will do nothing to fix the issue or replace it since I'm outside of the year warranty.

Seems almost like they are telling me to buy someone else's product. Why spend this kind of money on a Blaze or Iconic when I can go buy a product for nearly the same money from another company who will actually stand behind their product?
