@SunsetRunner A warm welcome to the Community! I believe that's the reason why you're seeing different totals because you're tracking exercises in MyFitnessPal and Fitbit. I was trying to log an exercise in MyFitnessPal and I got to the point where I should enter the name of the activities but it doesn't calculate the calories burned by itself. I should enter the calories burned.
I would recommend to use your tracker to track your exercises and just use MyFitnessPal in workouts where you can't use your Blaze such as swimming, boxing. You can learn more about it by checking How do I track my exercise and activities with Fitbit? and How do I manually log or record an activity?.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
