With the Blaze we have the ability to do either a hard or soft restart.
Many people know about the soft restart by holding in both the left and lower right buttuns.
What is not as well known is tye hard restart.
- On the Blaze wipe to the settings menu
- Tap then swipe up
- At the bottom Tap Shutdown - Tap again to confirm
- Push any button to turn the unit back on
Please try this hard shutdown.
If it doesn't improve then reach out to contact.fitbit.com

My blaze has been pretty flawless up until tonight. Heart rate was still tracking but steps just stopped counting.
Hard Reset has got it counting steps again, thank you.

Here we are over a year later. FitBit has known about this issue and still markets this junk. We just bought my wife a Blaze. TOTALLY inaccurate. Under counts steps by 20%+ (not a constant 20%)! We adjusted stride to actual and still counted 5 miles as 3.8! Now I have to deal with returning this JUNK to Walmart. It is criminal to market a product saying that it accurately tracks your workouts, when in fact it never does, ever. We would be better off with a sun dial and an abacus. Hope others avoid wasting their money on ANY FitBit product. Not to be trusted.

I've notuced dor some time now that the distance my fitbit blaze says and my treadmill are off by at least a quarter mile. I thought it was the treadmill but today i went on a walk woth my husband amd we recorded our start and end steps. He had double what mine recorded. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and still not working properly. I am very frustrated. I actually just purchased a fitbit blaze for my dad for fathers day next weekend but now I'm not sure I should give it to him. Please tell me there is a solution

The Blaze is my third Fitbit and I have bought four others (Charge and Charge HR) for family members. I now think they are just toys. The Blaze will not count steps. When I stand up and begin walking, it will sometimes start counting at 50, 100, 200 steps, or not at all. Sometimes I can swing my arm and make it start. I have issues with my feet, and must restrict the number of steps, but want to make sure I walk the maximum without triggering the pain. The Blaze cannot be used even as a guide. The Tracker has already been replaced once, and I thought it was just bad luck to get two that wouldn't work, but after reading the posts here, it is obvious that they are simply flawed and should be recalled. I have tried all the remedies discussed here and nothing has corrected the problem. Not good, Fitbit folks.

I had trouble with the accuracy of my Fitbit blaze until I bought this watchband. It can be adjusted perfectly to any wrist; keeps the Fitbit snugly on your wrist. The watch doesn't bounce around on my arm anymore and is keeping a much more accurate count of steps and heart rate. Comes in several colors. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071K8L685/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have the exact same problem as written below. My wife is using the Alta II and I have the Blaze. When we go out to play tennis, her device records over 6500 steps, mine records less than 3500 even though I have run more than she has. The Blaze seems to record as a step only a full step with the arm swinging. If, as when I am playing tennis, I keep my arms in front of me and side step and move around, it does not seem to record that as a step.

Don't Feel alone my watch stopped counting steps periodically starts again but does not catch up with what they loss I called they said they would send me another one dispose of the old one I got the replacement it was a refurbish so I put it on The next morning got on the treadmill went three miles check the steps read some where in the 6500 area check the mileage on the watch it read 22.53 miles so the mileage is screwed up on the second one so the emailed me a shipping label to send both watches back now my watch was 3 months old they should of gave me a new one. And much more they said that when they receive the watches that should be 1/25/2018 within 3to5 days they would send me another one so there quality control is poor they are not customer orientated and sell junk and replace it with refurbish watches. I have been conferring with consumer fraud in the State of Vt.

Not sure if I understand @KarenThom.
Are tgetstats on the tracker correct?
You say it doesn't relay to the app, do you see the correct data when looking at fitbit.com?
When was the last time the app says that your tracker has synced it's data to fitbitFcom?
