how does a Blaze work

I am thinking if getting a FitBit Blaze for my sister but
I don't know if it is worth it. How is it different from the Alta?? What does the FitBit Blaze do differently?

My first thought would be to go to https://www.fitbit.com/compare where it is all spelled out.
So let's look at some highlights.
So what's the same?
Both count the same daily data.
Both have auto sleep.
Both can auto detect select events
Both have thee same notifications.
So what's different?
Blaze will use your phone's GPS
Alta can use the apps ability to record GPS
Blaze has the ability to directly track up to 7 types of events.

Three Alta is designed to do things automatically, while the Blaze can also do this, events can be started manually.for greater control.

I addition to what Rich added, the Blaze has fantastic options for band changes to different leathers, steels, magnetic loops, and pretty much anything you want color wise to dress it up.  Below is the Fitbit comparison:

I have not decided yet cause her birthday isn't until September and she also wants the FitBit HR so I am not sure yet.😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Hi,

I have just bought Blaze yesterday. I like it now but before buying I liked Alta more. For me, the problem is that Alta does not have heart rate meter so that was the reason why I choose Blaze.
